Massage

WHY MASSAGE?

The muscles, tendons and bones must be healthy and functioning properly for the body to move normally. The muscles that contract to initiate the movement are attached to bones by tendons. The lesions, the excessive load, infections and sometimes other pathologies, can injure muscles, tendons and bones temporarily or permanent. These lesions can control and limit the range of normal movements of our body and cause pain.

PHYSIOLOGICAL / THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS:

  • Activation of the circulatory/lymphatic system;
  • Stimulation of the healing process;
  • Increase flexibility of the connective tissue;
  • Fighting cellulite;
  • Relaxes and tones the muscles;
  • Pain relief;
  • Increase of movement of joints;
  • Facilitates muscle activity;
  • Stress relief;
  • Prevention of cramps;
  • Resolution of muscular tension; tendonitis and sprains, etc.

We often think of a massage as a luxury and only use it when we really need to. But massage as any other certified manual therapy should be part of our day to day lives and considered an essential part of preventative medicine.
