Types of Massage

  1. Quiromassage

    The term quiro comes of the Greek and means hand, massage means kneading. This massage helps to improve circulation by bringing oxygen and other nutrients to different tissues of the body. It helps to relieve / treat tension, stiffness and muscular pain, as well as increasing mobility and flexibility.

  2. Therapeutical Massage

    This massage works within the musculoskeletal system focusing on the spine and its effects on the nervous system. It is also recommended in cases of pain related to incorrect positions and in certain cases of postoperative recovery.

  3. Sports Massage

    Designed specially for athletes / active people.

    This type can be divided into three categories:

    1. Pre-Event Massage

      Preparation for the exercise, namely, prepares the body for a good performance. It has the same intention as heating, to relax the muscle which means less risk of injury.

    2. Post-Event Massage

      Aims to:

      • Facilitate the metabolism to restore the lack of oxygen
      • Reduce muscle tension
      • Facilitate the lymphatic circulation

      • Return flexibility to our muscles and connective tissue

  4. Maintenance Massage

    Its main goal is injury prevention. The muscles, tendons and bones should be well maintained to function properly. The muscles that contract to trigger the movement are connected to bones by tendons and any damage caused by overload, inflammation or other conditions may affect them on a temporary or permanent way. Hence the importance of this type of maintenance massages.

  5. Lymphatic Drainage

    It is a technique that stimulates the lymphatic system to work at a faster rate, mobilizing the lymph to the lymph nodes.
